I grew up in Manhattan and though I LOVE it (and all cities and their magical electrifying energy) I was shocked to learn how much better I feel outside of cities.
This is partially due to the collective unconscious, but also because of how toxic most building materials are and how toxic tap water is and how bad it is for health to be surrounded by cellphone towers on every block.
When I moved to the woods of Northern California, I felt immediately calmer. I will confess, at the same time, I was BORED…. and so I thought to myself, can’t we have it all?
Though it is a few years away, I am in the process of building my own city in the woods (not a Smart City) called the 1-800 EARTH Dumb City for Crazy People. (yes, really) for those who wish to live naturally and remain organic on all levels.
It will be a place and refuge for Highly Sensitive artists, introverts and other misfit souls who have been called “crazy” for wanting to commune with nature or labeled conspiratorial for mistrusting systems and not wanting to be inundated and filled with toxins at every turn.
