I grew up in Manhattan and LOVE cities — the people, the weirdness, the energy, the ability to obtain a bagel at almost any hour.

I also love being in nature.

Why do we have to choose?

Someday, I’d love to help build an experimental 1-800-EARTH DUMB CITY — not “dumb” because it rejects technology, but because the technology knows when to shut up.

Think: nature + culture + humane technology. Trees, clean air and water, walkability, biodiversity, privacy, quiet, community, local food — and plenty of places to be completely alone.

Is building an entire city slightly ambitious?

YES. 😂

Until then, we’re interested in the smaller experiments: growing food, human-scale housing, ecovillages, repair + reuse, healthier homes, and technology that supports life instead of swallowing it.
