Biography

Like her father (comedian Bob Altman or Uncle Dirty), Carlen’s main passion is using humor to help planet Earth; her role is to act as a cosmic provacateur and jokester to bring much needed levity to a planet desperately in need of mental, spiritual and environmental healing*

After Carlen’s father passed away to cancer in 2017, she dedicated the next 7 years learning everything she could about mental, physical and spiritual healing.

Carlen’s various artistic creations such as film, writing, standup comedy, improvisation, inventions and journalism have been featured on MTV News and VICE TV.

Her work has been written about in Refinery29, The Wall Street Journal, Elle, Teen Vogue, Nylon, The New York Times, The New Yorker and other fancy-schmancy places (probably run by aliens).

Carlen is a graduate from LaGuardia Highschool in Visual Arts, Oberlin College in Psychology/Environmental Studies

Additionally, she is a graduate of the 2-year Graduate Certification from the University of Santa Monica in Advanced Spiritual Psychology and certified as an Integrative Health Practitioner Institute with an emphasis on Mental Health.

She is the creator of Jewish Rosaries™, 1-800 EARTH and contributor to many projects.
